Engineering Solutions

Tier 1 Integrity's engineering team turns inspection data into actionable decisions. We provide the analytical expertise that helps you extend equipment life, avoid unnecessary replacements, maintain code compliance, and keep your assets running safely and efficiently.

Engineering Services

Fitness-for-Service (FFS) Evaluations

Level 1, 2, and 3 FFS assessments per API 579-1/ASME FFS-1. We evaluate general metal loss, local thin areas, pitting, cracking, dents, laminations, and other damage conditions to determine whether equipment can continue to operate safely.

Equipment Re-Rates & Re-Design

Pressure and temperature re-rating evaluations to support process changes, de-bottlenecking, or optimization of operating conditions. We also evaluate re-design options when equipment needs to be modified for new service.

PSV Evaluation & Sizing Studies

Pressure safety valve sizing and evaluation to ensure adequate overpressure protection for current and proposed operating conditions.

Flare & Process Evaluation

Flare system capacity analysis and process evaluation to support compliance, operational changes, and relief system optimization.

Damage Mechanism Reviews (DMRs)

Identification and documentation of applicable damage mechanisms for each piece of equipment, based on materials, process conditions, and service history. DMRs feed directly into inspection planning to ensure the right inspection methods target the right threats.

Integrity Operating Windows (IOWs)

Development of integrity operating windows that define the safe operating envelope for process equipment. IOWs link process conditions to damage mechanisms, providing operations teams with clear limits and alarm points.

Equipment Failure Investigations

Root cause analysis and forensic engineering for equipment failures, leaks, and unplanned shutdowns. We identify what went wrong, why, and what to do to prevent recurrence.

Project Quality Management

QA/QC oversight programs for new equipment fabrication and installation - from material verification through final inspection - to ensure new assets arrive ready for service.
