UT Shear Wave Technician Level II

Tier 1 Integrity is hiring a UT Shear Wave Technician for our Advanced Services team. You will perform ultrasonic flaw detection on structural steel, piping, and plate, working independently in the field and in fabrication shops.

Responsibilities

  • UT Shear Wave inspections on welds, plate, and piping
  • Locate, size, and evaluate internal discontinuities
  • Set up, calibrate, and maintain ultrasonic flaw detectors
  • Interpret results against codes, blueprints, and specifications
  • Write clear, accurate daily inspection reports
  • Perform secondary NDT methods (MT, PT) when required

Requirements

  • Certification: NDT Level II UT Shear Wave
  • Training: Proof of classroom training prior to hiring
  • Testing: Must pass in-house certification test
  • Availability: Willing to work overtime when needed

Also required: high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Preferred

PAUT experience or training, ISQ UTT certification, AWS D1.1 structural steel experience
